ABU-ASBU-WorldDAB Technical Workshop
We are pleased to announce that the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU), the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), and WorldDAB will jointly present a three-part Technical Workshop webinar series titled “DAB+: Proven Economics with Continuous Technical Innovation.”
The online workshop series will be held from Monday, 20 July to Wednesday, 22 July 2026, at the following times each day:

WEBINAR TOPICS & SCHEDULE
Day 1 – Progress and Policy – Focuses on the strategic, economic, and political frameworks of DAB+ deployment. Highlights include global updates for Arab States, a comparative analysis of DAB+ versus 5G MBS networks, and practical insights into leveraging the WorldDAB Public Policy Toolbox to build a strong broadcaster business case.
Day 2 – DAB+ Systems – Explores recent technical advancements in multiplexing, receiver systems, and physical transmission infrastructure. Key discussions cover emergency warning interfaces, user experience (UX) prominence in automotive frameworks, and core updates regarding multiplex IP security and energy-saving transmission options.
Day 3 – Network Design – Examines deployment architecture and infrastructure resilience for regional scaling. Topics include evaluating MFN versus SFN network distributions, securing resilient signal contribution and distribution over the public internet, and finalizing rollout strategies via expert panel evaluations.
