Training Course on Engineering Fundamentals for Broadcasters – Level 1

We are pleased to announce that ABU Technology has organized a “Workshop on Engineering Fundamentals for Broadcasters”, scheduled to take place from 17 March to 22 May 2025.
Over the past two decades, broadcast technology has evolved significantly, impacting every aspect of the broadcast value chain. Key transformations include the transition from analog to digital equipment, the integration of IT, the shift from SD to HD, and the adoption of IP-based platforms. Amid these rapid advancements, many young engineers face challenges in mastering new systems due to a lack of foundational guidance in audio, video, and network engineering. Recognizing this need, ABU has collaborated with industry experts to provide structured learning for emerging broadcast engineers.

This multi-level course is designed to equip early-career broadcast engineers and technicians with essential engineering fundamentals. It covers audio, video, IT, and communication systems, along with key engineering techniques and applications. Participants will also gain insights into broadcast operations, current industry trends, and emerging technologies. The structured program ensures progressive learning, and upon successful completion of all levels, participants will receive a course completion certificate.
