DESCRIPTION:« All Events\n 				\n				\n				\n				\n					This event has passed. \n				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n	Pacific Media Partnership Conference 2025				\n				\n				\n				\n					Join us for the 2025 edition of the Pacific Media Partnership Conference (PMPC) to be held at the Suva Civic Centre on 11-13 February 2025.Co-hosted by the Fijian Broadcasting Corporation\, the conference coincides with the 70th anniversary of FBC Radio\, the formal launch of FBC’s Media Academy and World Radio Day 2025. These important milestones and the theme set the framework for an exciting conference which will culminate in a Gala Dinner at Ratu Sukuna Park.				\n				\n				\n				\n					\n	\n				\n				\n				\n				\n							\n			\n							\n				Hosted By				\n						\n		\n						\n				\n		\n					\n				\n				\n																														\n				\n				\n				\n																														\n				\n					\n				\n				\n				\n					We will also discuss updates to international partnerships\, the use of digital platforms to preserve and promote indigenous cultures\, innovations in news including best practice use of Generative AI\, emergency broadcasting and the monetization of OTT and digital platforms. We’ll also return to conversations from our conference in 2024 including managing budget pressures\, growing concern about reliance on Big Tech\, climate change\, ensuring that women will have the opportunity to be competitive candidates for senior leadership roles\, and media freedom.The PMPC is an opportunity to harness the wisdom and experience of the ABU’s Pacific members while hearing insights from some of the world’s best experts.
