The ABU Engineering Industry Excellence Award is directed at distinguished personalities in all segments of the broadcasting industry within the ABU region, including the staff or former staff of ABU members including affiliate members. The award recognises the most outstanding engineering contribution made by an individual to the broadcasting industry in the Asia-Pacific region. The award comprises a trophy, a citation plaque and ‘Distinguished Observer’ status to the winner at the ABU Technical Committee meetings.
